Mind you, I don’t mind the binding itself as they made that choice for a reason, but overall the whole thing is so floppy it feels cheap. Right now, paired with the lay-flat binding, I almost feel like the book is going to fall apart in my hands. The interior pages wouldn’t be bad for a hardcover book, but for a paper back they really should have been beefed up. The cover is way too thin and does little to protect a book of this heft. Speaking of paper quality, the overall feel of the book is surprisingly cheap. For $65, you’d think I could have gotten a complimentary padded envelope. Maybe it sat somewhere humid on its trip to me, or maybe it’s just a side-effect of the paper quality. My book came out of the package with a slight waviness to it, like slight water damage. Its gonna be long with a lot of pictures, so I’ve put it under a cut.įirst things first, this book arrived in a cheap cardboard envelope. Because boy have I have got SOME OPINIONS. I could only find one other review on the internet, and it was decidedly brief, so I am giving it a go myself. Remember this Kickstarter? I paid $65 CAD for a soft cover copy, and it finally arrived.
